WIKI LEAKS!

Wikileaks was a website that published anonymous submissions and leaks of sensitive governmental, corporate, organizational, or religious documents, while attempting to preserve the anonymity and of its contributors.
Should Wiki Leaks be distributing classified documents to the public? Well this is the big debate, that has spurred much controversy. The documents that are released reveal shocking truths of government mishaps, and acts that have been hidden from the public eye. Indeed, as shocking as they are, these documents have been hidden for a reason.
According to Julian Assange, the founder of Wikileaks, citizens should be fully aware of governments actions and happenings. He shared his views and said, "the more secretive or unjust an organisation is, the more leaks induce fear and paranoia in its leadership and planning coterie.... Since unjust systems, by their nature induce opponents, and in many places barely have the upper hand, mass leaking leaves them exquisitely vulnerable to those who seek to replace them with more open forms of governance." It almost sounds as though he is attempting to take down governments. Being an Australian citizen and not even an American, he has no right to impose on the countries affairs. This is definitely espionage, and he should be convicted.
Yet, reaveling 100% of truth to the public can potentially harm and weaken a country, it's military tactics, and decisions would be scrutinized. If these strategies are what makes our government, military, and country strong and a float, then so be it. We do not need to know whats happening, there is a fine line of information that is shared, and it should not be crossed. Especially if this is what is protecting our nation.

Words of war

From reading the wordles from the Declaration of war by the United States, you can tell that the U.S. was not happy about going to war with Germany, and getting pulled into the affair. They really did not want to go to war with Germany, and just wanted everything sorted. Yet, Germany on the other hand, had a very different response, and did encourage war, and combat,. They were definitely angered with the united states.

"Back when I was younger... we only had letters."

Well Aunt Jean, there is one person who will miss you on Christmas day and he is sitting in a digout wondering what you are all doing and wishing you the best of Christmasses and the happiest year of all.
Loving ????(Sean or Sam)

That is a letter from one of the soldiers. This is upsetting, because this soldier had to write a letter, and didn't even have the option to hear his families voice on christmas.
We are lucky today to have instant forms of communication, computer, text messaging, phone calls, letters, webcam etc. These soldiers only had letters... they were probably frustrated, because they had to wait to hear back, and it would've taken sometime for their letters to reach their loved one's. This is a difficult struggle from both sides, because they each are waiting, anticipating eachothers response. Not knowing whether someones dead is terrible. Today we wouldn't be able to live a day without our iPhones, or blackberries. Imagine how grateful these soldiers would be to have Facetime, or BlackBerryMessenger!

COD, WOW, HALO to be... or not to be?

I do not think there is an issue with violent video games. These video games can convey a somewhat realistic portrayal of real happenings. People, especially kids are able to learn from this, and can have fun whilst doing so. The violence factor is not going to be eliminated by removal of video games, like COD and Halo. Whether from movies, television, books... you name it, we are all still exposed to it on a day to day basis.

Though these games have a M for Mature rating, kids of all ages are seen playing. That is their parents decision, and these kids retain information through this violence seen everywhere anyways, and a video game is not going to change that. If video games are banned, then why not movies such as 300, Saving Private Ryan, Jarhead, and all the other war movies?

Kids can learn about real war through these games, because they are dynamic, and realistic as possible. It will give people some real perspective. Sure, there is no reset button in real war, but there is no reset button at all in any aspect of our lives, and everyone understands that. As long as teenagers know and understand this, I do not see a problem with video games.

I have numerous friends that play COD and Halo, and WOW just for fun, in no way are they influenced by these games. It's really all just for fun, it gives them something to do, and provides an adrenaline rush.  I really do not think any of the teens playing this game are going to go out at go on a massive massacre. Honestly... think about it. It's really just not going to happen. If there these games were influencing kids negatively, then there would've bee some action taken already.

I

Dogfight

After playing the "Dogfight" game, a pilot in that sort of situation would be praying to keep himself safe, and get him out of there alive. A pilot would've been scared, and his mind would be focused on shooting the opponent, and just avoiding their fire. This is a stressful thing to have to do, when I played the game, I died just about every 30 seconds. In real life, these pilots must've had to be extremely skilled, or they were going to go down in flames.
